Frequently Asked Questions

At Gross Inspection Services, we’re committed to making your property inspection process clear and stress-free. Below are answers to the most common questions we receive.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve Brookfield, Milwaukee, and the greater Southern Wisconsin area.

What types of inspections do you offer?

Our services include home inspections, commercial inspections, sewer scoping, thermal imaging, and testing for radon and mycotoxins. We also offer a Home Performance Analysis, as well as troubleshooting. Each service helps you understand the true condition of your property.

Who performs the inspections?

All inspections are completed by David Gross, a certified and highly experienced inspector with over 25 years in the industry. His reputation is built on honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.

What’s included in a home inspection?

We conduct a thorough evaluation of the home’s structure, roofing, exterior and interior systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, and ventilation. A detailed report with photos and recommendations is provided after the inspection.

How do I schedule an inspection?

You can schedule by phone call, text, or through our online contact form. We offer flexible scheduling and will respond quickly to confirm your appointment.

What is thermal imaging and why is it important?

Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to view temperature differences in your buildings structure. It may help identify moisture issues, under-performing insulation, disconnected HVAC duct works and/or air leaks to the exterior.

Do you offer radon/mold and mycotoxin testing?

Yes, we provide all those services. Radon is a naturally occurring gas & is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer. Indoor air quality is affected by mold and mycotoxins, and we can test for both to ensure you don’t have any issues. We can use testing methods and tools to help identify the source of the mold coming into your home. Testing for these issues helps ensure your home is safe and healthy.

What is sewer scoping, and when is it recommended?

Sewer scoping involves inspecting your sewer lateral, the pipe that connects the home sewer system to the main sewer line, with a specialized camera to check for clogs, cracks, or root intrusion. Sewer lateral inspections are useful for all homes from brand new to old homes and even including older homes with larger trees on the property.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Gross Inspection Services is a registered inspector with the state of Wisconsin & is fully licensed and insured. We follow strict industry standards and are certified by InterNACHI for your peace of mind.

When will I receive the inspection report?

You’ll typically receive your report within 24 hours. It includes a full summary of our findings, supporting photos, videos, and guidance on any necessary next steps.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment is usually due at the time of the inspection. Fees may apply when using a credit card. Invoicing options are available as well.
